The Cheerful Heart Dental Mission travels to Restauración, Dominican Republic, located near the Haitian border, to provide acute dental care. The area is one of poorest in the country, with a monthly household income averaging between $35 and $80.

In March of 2008 we traveled to the Dominican Republic and Haiti with World Vision to open our hearts and provide compassion and practical assistance to people living in poverty. The poverty in these two countries is classified as extreme. People are living without basic life needs - shelter, clean water, nourishing food, basic medicines, education, etc.
